A tutorial on how to sketch poses is actually quite useful, thanks. I try to sketch what I intend draw, but I suck at it and usually end up ignoring the sketch anyway.

You're welcome ^^ And thanks for the compliment.
Ponies are horribly hard to draw, I think, because of their anatomy. I mean, the fact that it makes no sense XD

This is actually quite helpful. I especially like that you have helped me finally begin to grasp pony-standing-up poses and stuff.

Thank you (and you're welcome ^^)~
It took me a while to figure out how to draw Pinkie standing up. It was actually this picture [link] that helped me figure it out.

Hahah, stuff like that can be creepy, but it's very logical that the even-if-it's-just-fanmade skeletal inner workings of a character can help a lot with figuring out poses and anatomy and such. It's masters of anatomy that can draw stuff like that anyway, so they're most likely going to be great to learn from the art of.

'Course, just a still of her standing like that in Bridle Gossip may have helped, too, but maybe not as much? I just totally forgot to even look at stills more, though, for different poses and stuff--the very best way to learn how to draw a character in different ways is to look at how that character's drawn in different ways in the source material, after all. I really should start doing that more often again; I guess after I got some pony basics down I kinda stopped.

Well, really I think it depends on the artist. Because I learned how to draw things using circles (way, waaaaay back when I was eight, but it's still ingrained XD), having a skeleton like that is helpful for me for things especially like the leg joints, since I'm not used to drawing ponies.

Also, another way my pony-poses were helped, besides the skeleton, is because I've seen pretty much every piece of art in Lauren Faust's gallery here on dA. Somehow, it was really helpful, kind of seeing how SHE drew, because then I kind of know where to start and how to go from there. How to make it my own style. She has a lot of pony sketches. It's like the stills, basically XD
