Mostly because someone got in an adorable little 'argument' with me, where they decided, to put it simply, I'm a piece of shit because I used the talents shown in The Show Stopper, didn't make scootaloo's CM a scooter, and didn't give AB an apple. Oh, and after I said that I had taken references from Show Stopper, they're all "That happened ONE TIME". I would have pointed out that out of the what, four episodes centering around the CMC, the Show Stopper is specifically about them trying to get each other's talents- but he blocked me XD Nice.
I never like AB's cutie marks. I haven't seen a good one online I like yet. The last one I made I didn't like, and this one I don't like, but I figured it's sort of metaphoric for growing up, since AB wants to grow up and be a big pony, and being a big pony involves painting n'shit.
I left the other twos' the same. About Scootaloo: I don't like it when people make her CM a scooter. It just bothers me. I just generally don't like artificial things in cutie marks. Hers centers around doing tricks here- going very fast and spinning. Also I don't like flying Scoots so, none of that here.
This style is really.. different, and new. I kind of made it up as I went along, so it's not great.

Have you seen AppleBloom's cutie mark that seems sort of fit, it's an apple half colored and half grayscale with a paint brush in mid stroke coloring it?

Nope. Doesn't sound like I would like it, I hate when people make her cm an apple being painted. People generally don't paint apples.

When you say artificial do you mean like a built item? aren't bows sorta the same?

I mean for cutie marks.
And it's... not quite that. I'm fine with bows or paintbrushes or lightbulbs as cutie marks. But I just don't have a preference for cutie marks that are trains, wheels, scooters, etc, unless the pony makes that item. I feel like a cutie mark should represent more of an action- making, growing, doing tricks, painting, etc.
